Many reports have recently put a spotlight on the plastic bottles we use as parents. Why are we still feeding our little ones with them when we are ditching them ourselves?
The issue here is not BPA (a chemical found in some plastics) but actual micro plastic particles that are released from bottles when they get hot - think warming up milk or making formula.
We had a little look around at some of the other options out there if you want to ditch the plastic and found Hevea.
Their solution to a plastic free drinking bottle for babies is the 2-in-1 baby glass star ball bottle (£21.50). It features a cute star design, perfect for little fingers to grip, the all important glass inner bottle and a natural rubber teat.
Hevea in general are a great brand. They also create beautiful dummies and bath toys that are non-toxic, BPA free, free from Phthalates and are biodegradable. All their products are easy to clean and use food-grade FDA approved natural colour pigments. They are 100% plastic-free and completely plant based - made from 100% natural rubber coming from the sap of the Hevea trees. Even the glass in their glass feeding bottles is pure borosilicate glass, which is heat and thermal shock resistant.
